9.27.10 Pic theme: Montage!

Today is approaching, to give it your best
You've got to reach your prime.
That's when you need to put yourself to the test
and show us a passage of time.

We're gonna need a montage.

A sports training montage.
Show a lotta things, happening at once,
Remind everyone of what's goin' on.
With every shot show a little improvement,
to show it all would take too long.

That's called a montage.

Even Rocky's had a montage.
in any sport, if you want to go
from just a beginner to a pro

You need a montage.

A simple little montage.

Always fade out in a montage.
If you fade out it seems like more time has passed in a montage.

Montage...
(Lyrics from Southpark's Team America)

Well it certainly has been a busy few weeks since my last post and the best way to show this is with a montage...well several to be exact :)

Collection of a few of my favorites from my shoot at Family Pet Resort in Newtown Square
Wedding vow renewal at Joseph Ambler Inn
2nd shooting for Morrissey Photo at The Farmhouse at Buena Vista in Emmaus, PA.

9.13.10 Pic Theme: Maine in HDR

Lots of wonderful things happened this month and not the least of which was the trip my wonderful girlfriend and I took to Maine. It was my first trip past Boston and I was able to check two more states off the list (I'm gunning for you Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, and Idaho!)

We ate our weight in Lobster Rolls, checked out the culture of Portland on their 1st Friday gallery walk night, visited some relatives, and hiked around Acadia National Park (and the LL Bean factory...HUGE!)

Along the way I took pictures. Big surprise ;) Once hurricane Earl had fizzled out the weather turned amazing and the colors of Maine really popped. Not all of my images made during the trip are in HDR, but these are. So enjoy!

Seen from the back of Red's Eats in Wiscasset, Maine. Home of the full lobster in a roll (Texas toast!) drizzled with butter. :) Also the most expensive rolls we ate... just saying, they are proud of their rolls I guess.

I love the way the mangled lobster traps appear to be a sea creature themselves.

This was shot along the cliff side hike on Prouts Neck, Scarborough, Maine. The hike we thought would take us to Winslow Homer's studio. It did, but it's not open to the public. (thanks everyone who told us how to get there but never thought to tell us it wasn't open for tours!)

Possibly Winslow Homer's studio. Not for sure since there were no signs, but from the pictures I've seen it could possibly be. Nice house whomever it belongs to...

Really pretty, no? I'll be posting more on flickr or on my website (or both) so make sure to look around those places for more soon!

9.9.10 Pic theme: Goofing off

Why is it that whenever I have something to do I end up getting other stuff done first? I suppose one thing inspires me to work on another... here are some of the fruits of my labor. Now back to editing :)
