Ben+Christine: The recipe for the perfect Bucks County wedding

I think every wedding photographer will agree that the engagement session is really a perfect time to study a couple and learn their mannerisms without the pressure of having to do this on the fly on their wedding day. It's also a great time for the couple to do the same of the photographer by the way, and over a short time the camera disappears and a rapport is created.

Well before we even got to the engagement session I felt a strong rapport with these two, and what I learned at our engagment session was that this was going to be one hell of a good time! The recipe is as follows: Take one gorgeous bride with a great sense of humor. Add groom with leading man looks that lives for making people laugh. Mix well with heavy amounts of loving close friends and family. Season with good food, cold beverage, and music to taste. Garnish with fine wedding attire, then serve in a gorgeous Bucks County setting with lots of flowers... and cupcakes!

I'd like to once again thank my wonderful 2nd shooter/assistant Binh for doing what he does so well.

Teasers! Kait+Chris' Bucks County Wedding. Stormy weather week brings beautiful wedding day.

What a crazy month for weather. My wife and I were married in June two years ago and I remember planning around the weather was a big deal. We looked at all kinds of crazy weather predictors and even researched the Naval Air Station in Willow Grove's weather archives that went back to 1940s. In the years since the 40s less than one total inch of rain had fallen we figured we would be safe... it drizzled all day and that night hours after our last guest had left a huge storm rolled in and did major damage to the covered pergola (for a split second I thought the venue was blaming us! lol Now that would have been epic!)... Anyway, my point is that June has become very stormy and as long as it stays stormy during the week and clear on the weekends I'm fine with it! I mean look at these vistas!

Kait and Chris had their wedding at the gorgeous St. Bede the Venerable, in Holland Pa. and the gorgeous reception was held at the Washington Crossing Inn. We had a lot of fun stopping at various points in Bucks County as we made our way to the reception.

Congratulations you two!

Huge thanks to my second shooter/assistant Binh!
